Nintendo has announced the latest entry in The Legend of Zelda series for 3DS: Triforce Heroes. Combining the art style of 3DS title A Link Between Worlds and the multiplayer elements of the Four Swords games, Triforce Heroes lets you team up with two friends to take on a grand co-op adventure.
One of the game's key mechanics is the ability to form totems, allowing Link to reach far off items by standing on the shoulders of other players. This will also be crucial in tackling certain enemies and reaching switches to advance further into each dungeon.
Link's abilities will be Fashion plays a key role in Triforce Heroes as well, as different costumes will give you different abilities. For instance, the samurai-esque Spin Attack Suit lets you do a titular spin attack to take out large groups of enemies, while the Big Bomb Outfit arms you with Link's classic explosives. There will also be a few new abilities, such as a bouncy shield which is given to you by the Lucky Loungewear suit. You'll be able to tackle courses multiple times with different suits, giving you plenty of opportunity to explore every last nook and cranny.
There's no word on an official release date for Triforce Heroes just yet, but Nintendo said it will be coming to 3DS in Q4 of this year.
Nintendo also announced that the Wii U's Hyrule Warriors will also be making its way to the 3DS in the form of Hyrule Warriors Legends. Borrowing the same stylised art as the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors Legends will contain all the Wii U's DLC characters as well two new heroes: Tetra and the King of Red Lions of The Wind Waker. We loved Hyrule Warriors on Wii U and we can't wait to play it again on 3DS when it launches in Q1 next year.
