Amazon has a good selection of boxing day deals on offer this year and we’ve cherry picked the best electronics from the list. These are all daily deals so they’re only available for 24 hours from now (midnight) unless of course they sell out first, check the website for the lightning deals that will appear throughout the day as well.
First up on this year’s list is a fitness tracker, the Jawbone UP3, which is just what a lot of people will be looking for with the January health boom looming. The UP3 usually retails for around £110 to £120 online and so at just £78 this represents a pretty serious saving, but is it worth the cash? Well we reviewed the Jawbone UP3 recently and thought it was stylish with a great app, but it lacks the wider feature set of some of its rival, still at this low price it’s an impressively competitive tracker with heart-rate sensor. Next up is a bargain pair of headphones, a set of Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 for just £80. Now these usually retail for around £150 so this is a big price cut. We haven’t seen this particular set but were impressed with the original model and others online look to say that these are equally good. If you’re looking for a headphone bargain then snap them up.
Finally, we have one of Amazon’s own tablets, the top-end Fire HDX 8.9 with Wi-Fi and 4G and 32GB of storage. Now this 4G-enabled version usually costs a whopping £410 and is currently reduced down to just £260, a big saving. However the Wi-Fi only version is just £310 usually, so if you’re not going to use that 4G capability by adding a SIM card then the saving is much smaller in real terms. We have reviewed the Fire HDX 8.9 and it’s a great bit of hardware, which has now been improved by Amazon’s recent operating system update, however it’s still only suitable for serious Amazon devotees, as you’re stuck using the company’s app store.
