iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: Contract deals
Buying the latest flagship is never going to end up being cheap, and particularly not when it’s the latest iPhone. Using Apple’s previous iPhone launches as a guide, it’s not hard to make an educated guess as to how much you’re going to end up spending, however.
Firstly, take any of the SIM-free prices above and divide that by 24 (as you’ll definitely be looking at a 24 month contract). Then add that figure to the ~£20 a month that you’ll end up paying for the mobile tariff. Then you’ll need to factor in an upfront cost of £100-120 for the 32GB models, and incrementally more for the 128GB and 256GB versions.
Do the maths, and for a 32GB iPhone that’ll work out at £120 upfront and roughly £40 a month – and that will probably be with a very low data allowance. If you want a deal on a 128GB model, and lots of bundled data and call minutes, then you can kiss goodbye to nearer £250 upfront and upwards of £50 a month. It’s a beautiful phone, but as with all lovely things, it's really not going to be cheap.
Still poised to snatch yourself a deal on that shiny new iPhone 7? Then head back here tomorrow morning to check out our list of the mobile networks with the best deals.
