With the iPhone 7 launching in just a couple of days, here’s the definite list of the best cases on offer

14 Sep 2016

The iPhone 7 is almost here. People have already set up camp outside shops waiting for its release on 16 September, but while you're waiting, why not pick out the best case to keep your iPhone 7 well-protected?

With the entry-level iPhone 7 costing £599 SIM-free alone, you’ll want to make sure it doesn't accidentally fall out of your clumsy hands and smash the screen, but you also want something that looks the part, too. After all, why spend so much money on a sleek looking device only to ruin the look with a garish case?

With this in mind, we’re here to help guide you through the ever increasing list of cases to help you pick the best one for you and your budget.

Apple iPhone 7 Leather case (£50)

An obvious choice, perhaps, but Apple’s new and improved official iPhone case scores pretty high, both in terms of looks and functionality. It’s subtle and has physical buttons on the side which we didn’t get last year. It’s also nice and slim, so it won’t add too much extra bulk to the handset.

Apple iPhone 7 Smart Battery case (£100)

Another great one, if a little expensive, is Apple’s official Smart Battery case. Sure, it adds quite a chunk to the back of your phone, but if you’re wanting to give the phone's 13-hour battery life a bit more oomph, this’ll be the case for you.

iPhone 7 Shieldon Genuine Leather case (£26)

I’m a big fan of leather flip book style cases. They not only look pretty stylish, but many of them cover your screen, too. This is the nicest genuine leather wallet case I could find, with card slots as well as a handy kickstand.

iPhone 7 Spigen Tough Armor case (£17)

If you’re after something with proper heavy duty protection - something you can drop onto concrete and be reassured to find no dents or scratches in sight - a dual layer case is often your best bet. The Spigen Tough Armour case is perfect for shock absorption, but the trade-off is that it's not particularly slim.

iPhone 7 VRS case (£5)

Self-stand cases are perfect for watching videos on your phone, and considering your iPhone 7 comes with the best screen yet, it's pretty likely you'll be watching plenty of stuff on it. The VRS case here isn't too cumbersome, and it’s also incredibly cheap.
