Cyber Monday 2017 Guide
What is Cyber Monday?
Given its name, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Cyber Monday is a day dedicated to computers, VR and other technology. That’s not quite the case, but it’s certainly a day that technology lovers will want to note in their diary. That’s because, even though Cyber Monday isn’t a day for celebrating computers, it’s a day when you’ll definitely want to get online.
Cyber Monday is basically a second Black Friday, only all of the deals are online - and that means you can snap a deal from the comfort of your own home. It used to be that bargain hunters would flock the high street to fight over heavily discounted TVs, laptops and other bargain goods on Friday and the online retailers would reduce their prices on the Monday. Now, you can find loads of online deals on Black Friday, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a great deal on the Monday. In fact, many retailers will drop their prices even more on Cyber Monday, so it can be worth waiting it out.
We won’t know exactly what deals they have in store for us until closer to the day, but there’s one thing you can be sure of: whether you connect on your laptop, phone or tablet, there will be plenty of discounts on everything from technology to DIY supplies.
When is Cyber Monday 2017?
Cyber Monday takes place on the first Monday following Black Friday. Given that Black Friday 2017 will take place on Friday 24 November 2017, Cyber Monday will fall on Monday 27 November 2017. That’s less than a month before Christmas, which means it’s your last chance to snap up a bargain before the January sales - and your last chance to pick up Christmas presents at a more affordable price.
