Boxing Day is one of the biggest sales events of the year and is the perfect time for us bargain-hunters to grab a couple of deals before we ring 2018 in. Retailers across the UK are busily preparing for the sales to drop right now and we think this year’s set to be a big one.
Maybe you’ve got your eye on a piece of tech or a homeware appliance which didn’t drop in the Black Friday sales. Well, now is your chance to tick off your wish-list and take advantage of all those lovely Christmas vouchers from your friends and family.
Are you a bit overwhelmed by the shedload of deals? Don’t worry – we’re here to help you navigate your way through the Boxing Day 2017 storm. Once the sales are up we’ll post all the very best deals and discounts right here, so remember to pop back in.
When do the Boxing Day sales start?
It might seem like a silly question but sales sometimes start a lot earlier than anticipated. Take Black Friday for example. Amazon and other big-name retailers started launching deals well before 24 November. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Boxing Day sales start hitting the web and high street on Christmas Day. After all, some retailers already have sales up and running now.
Which retailers have a Boxing Day sale?
The majority of retailers, on the high street and online, will take part in the Boxing Day sales. Naturally, the range and scale varies but most stores offer pretty decent savings. If last year was anything to go by, we’re sure Amazon, John Lewis, Currys PC World and Argos will be treating us to some pretty exciting deals and discounts.
Our buying guides and top tips
It’s pretty easy to get sucked into thinking you’re saving a shedload of cash because a product’s in the sale, when really you’re just getting a tenner off. It’s often worth digging a little deeper to find out how much of a discount you’re actually getting.
CamelCamelCamel is a handy tool that monitors the previous prices of products on Amazon. That way, you can see how much the product was going for before the sales and if you’re getting the real deal.
Obviously, checking products’ reviews is a must, too – especially if you’re forking out for a luxury item or pricy piece of tech. You’ll find some great reviews right here on Expert Reviews, where we’ll give you an in-depth breakdown of the product followed by our verdict to tell you if we think it’s worth your hard-earned money.
