Microsoft has let this month’s Xbox Games with Gold free games slip a little earlier than usual. As usual, May’s Games with Gold consists of two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games with one title hanging over a little longer into June.
This month is a particularly sweet one with two excellent games joining the Games with Gold lineup. Starting on 1 May you’ll be able to snap up Super Mega Baseball 2 on Xbox One and Streets of Rage as part of the Sega Vintage Collection on Xbox 360. It’s the second half of May that’s really worth waiting for though as, from 16 May, you’ll be able to snap up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Vanquish for absolutely nothing.
Super Mega Baseball 2 continues on through until the end of May, with Streets of Rage only running until 15 May. Metal Gear Solid V will remain available until 15 June, occupying the slot that The Witness currently holds as that stops being made available on 15 May.
If you haven’t yet done so, you can pick up April’s offerings before they go forever. Alongside The Witness, you’ll also get Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Dead Space 2.
