Apple iPad Air 2 live stream

Tune in at 6pm UK time to watch the iPad Air 2 live stream on Mac, Windows and Android

Apple's now ready to take the lid off its final range of products for 2014, at its October special event. Following on from the big launch of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iOS 8, the next event sees the company update and launch its other range of products.

Apple hasn't stated what it intends to launch, but we can expect to see the iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3, new Macs and the official launch of OS X 10.10 Yosemite, and there's always a chance that we'll get a surprise or two.

We'll be there live to cover the event, so follow @expertreviewsuk on Twitter to get the latest updates as they happen, with more in-depth stories set to hit the website once we've had time to go hands-on with the new kit.

You can also watch along yourself, with Apple live streaming the event. To stream via the website you'll need to have a Mac running OS X 10.6 or later with Safari 5.1.10 or later; an iPad or iPhone running iOS 6 or later. If you prefer, the Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation only) has an Apple Events app, which will also let you watch the stream live.

PC, Android and other operating system owners can't watch the event directly, although it's possible to tap into the live stream directly using the VLC application. Install VLC for Windows or VLC for Android, then select Open Network Stream under Media. At this point you'll need to paste in the URL of the live stream, which is http://t.co/1zEDkOYaSY.

Apple's event kicks off at 10am PDT, which works out at 6pm for us in the UK and 7pm for most of Europe.
