Anyone after a white PS4, but doesn't want Bungie's Destiny in the box, has a second option in the form of a Driveclub bundle

The Glacier white version of Sony's PS4 console is currently only available in a bundle with Bungie's MMOFPS Destiny, but that is set to change in October when a second game joins the line-up. Driveclub, the persistent racing game that aims to mix arcade and simulation handling with stunning visuals, real-time lighting and changeable weather effects, will also get its own white PS4 bundle.

Announced on the official PlayStation Blog by product manager Chris Brown, the white PS4 Driveclub bundle will include the console itself with a 500GB hard disk, a white DualShock 4 controller and copy of the game for €439.99. There will also be a second "Gamer Edition" bundle, which will arrive at €499.99. It includes a black PS4, two DualShock 4 controllers, a PlayStation Camera and copy of Driveclub.

Both bundles have been confirmed for the UK, although official GBP pricing has yet to be confirmed. Based on current exchange rates, we should be looking at £350 and £399 respectively, although that doesn't take VAT or taxes into account.

The two newly-announced bundles will be going on sale on the 8th of October alongside the game itself, which will be made available as a limited demo release for PlayStation Plus customers. With access to a limited number of tracks, cars and features, gamers will have to pay for the full version if they want more than the limited demo.

Driveclub will let players form clubs of up to six players to comete in challenges together and earn fame, with every member's actions contributing to the club's overall success. Dynamic rain and snow will affect handling mid-race, while a day-night cycle will provide changeable lighting conditions.

If you're only interested in a white PS4, but don't want Driveclub or Destiny included in the box, Sony confirmed it had plans to release a standalone console before Christmas, but has yet to commit to a specific date.
